I bought new sports car from the dealership, it had less than 19 miles on it when I left the lot, I got a great interest rate on it, and the insurance payment wasn’t as bad as I thought it would be. Needless to say, life was good that day. For the next few weeks, I got to know my new car, I took her to the car wash, and even gave her a new smell (coconut).
One morning on my commute to work, I was stopped at a red light. When the light turned green, the cars in front of me started to go and it was my turn. I put my foot on the clutch, took my other foot off the brake and then hit the gas pedal.
I didn’t move…
The dealer had my car for about a week, when I got it back, they had told me they replaced the transmission. All was good for about 6 miles, and then the same thing happened! Back to the shop for another week. Once again, they replaced the transmission and I was on my way.
After the 4th time this happened (within a 9 month period) I filed a lemon law complaint and the dealer bought back my car.
